Equities Research Analyst – Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist

With the opportunity now to engage an ESG specialist, applications are invited from experienced analysts. There is flexibility to structure this position to suit either full or part time hours. Part time hours could be worked on less than five days per week or by working reduced hours each day.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to initiate, maintain and present independent ESG Research on companies in Macquarie's coverage universe. This specialisation will see you leverage our existing, highly-regarded ESG platform and work closely with all reporting sector analysts on various ESG-related topics. Your valuable insights will assist integrate ESG considerations into investment decisions; providing a specialist and independent view across the areas of ESG but particularly, with respect to the challenges faced in this area and the effect on stock and pricing of same. Broadly this will include analysing and reporting on ESG news flows for these stocks, authoring reports for distribution to a vast range of institutional clients, analysing and monitoring data, working closely with our Sales teams, as well as hosting, marketing and attending business networking functions

We are ideally seeking an experienced ESG Analyst although will also consider experienced equity analysts with a strong interest in building a profile as an ESG specialist. Post graduate qualifications will be very highly-regarded. You will need to possess 6+ years' experience as an analyst or industry strategist. With the level of client and stakeholder engagement, the ability to build and develop relationships at all levels will be critical.
