An international asset management house is looking for high caliber candidates to join as Asia Risk Manager / AVP. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international asset management house with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit high calibers to join them.

Responsible for working with senior management in the region to identify, assess and monitor risk, as well as advising on appropriate risk mitigations. Responsible for monitoring the regulatory environment and managing projects to ensure that comply with any business risk management regulatory requirement.  Responsibilities will also include developing risk governance framework, risk reporting and escalation. Responsible for framework to ensure compliance with the MAS guidelines on Outsourcing in Singapore.

Manage risk assessment and risk profiling activity in Asia. Manage risk efforts to comply with business risk regulations in Asia.  Facilitate Global Risk Programs in Asia. As the business grows and develops in Asia this individual will need to continually assess what risk governance and risk related committees are needed in Asia. Develop risk reporting framework for Asia to ensure management has visibility and transparency on the key risks and risk trends affecting the region. Maintain and develop the documentation of the risk management framework for the Asian business.  Responsible for complying with the MAS Outsourcing Guidelines. Ad-Hoc Projects.

To be considered, you should be a Degree holder with around 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in risk management. Strong analytical and communication skills. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Independent. Good organization skills. Good interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to handle complex interactions and reconcile differing views.
