The purpose of the role is to run project deliveries for the Financial Markets Technology group, focusing on Risk. The initial assignment will consist in delivering the MifiD2 program to production.SABRE is the sole FM cross asset risk management platform (Standard Chartered Analytics Booking and Risk Engine) and delivers consolidated risks primarily to Structure and Derivatives traders within the Front Office. The current investments into the platform sponsor the following objectives:1. Complete the FM trade consolidation, we have 98% of Financial Market trades as it stands,2. Implement a Control Framework for an official use of the risk numbers generated by the platform for both Front Office and Market Risk and substitute to all other FM systems,3. Leverage our increased computing capacity (externalized grid) and expand our user community to all asset classes and flow desks,4. Expand the use of the platform to Market Risk usage and meet regulatory objectives such as the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB)This role consists in joining a SABRE project team contributing to the MifiD2 programme as a Senior Project Manager. The project aims at leveraging the existing SABRE Trade Data Store to build a bank wide (not only FM), Trade Data Server (3rd gen), using FpML based trade description format, improved interfaces to all pricing applications and a new technology stack (Hadoop) to scale to a much larger set of consumers and use cases, in order to meet MifiD2 post trade requirements.The regulatory go-live is on Jan 3rd, and the project team is now fully focused on closing the core build and then move into testing and production transition of the platform.This new PM would look after the end to end delivery of the upstream data flow for MiFID2, to ensure the new mandatory information can flow all the way through from the point of capture to the Trade store.The job purpose consists in:o Building strong, effective relationships with both the business and technology teams, across global offices.o Collaborating with all control functions to gather requirement, solve business problems by proposing relevant, innovative solutions in consultation with the technology teams.o Being a creative source of proposals and channeling user aspiration towards sustainable and future proof solutionso Deliver functional consistency across the various projects by influencing architecture and design decisionso Translating and documenting business requirementso Working across asset classes FX, Rates, Credit and Commodities (both structured and flow)

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are outlined below:o Facilitating the definition of the project missions, goals, tasks and resource requirementso Assembling the project team within the program resource constraintso Leading project planning and manage project execution, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.o Assessing project risks, issues, dependencies and putting mitigations in placeo Building strong, effective relationships with both the business (Trading, Quant, Market Risk) and technology stakeholders, across global officeso Communicate effectively and tactfully status, issues, successes to all stakeholderso Organizing and leading regular steering committees, reporting project status and facilitating project steering decisionso Lead aspects of organizational change and ensure functional consistency across the various projects of the program by influencing architecture and design decisionso Resolve of assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areaso Provide mentoring, coaching and direction to the project team members and create a sense of belonging and ownership among team memberso Demonstrate exemplary project governance to internal auditors and deliver high quality project management documentation

Qualifications and Skills

* Self-starter who can drive/facilitate requirements and development effort * Take ownership and responsibility for project delivery to time and cost constraints * Experience working in an agile development environment with sprint planning, retrospectives, etc* A team player, capable of engaging with other teams across Technology and the business* Ability to work and liaise directly with the Front Office, Middle Office, Risk and Regulatory Reporting functions* Ability to manage stakeholders in a transparent and open manner* Excellent communication skills* Financial Markets domain knowledge - derivatives domain a real plus* Ability to work under pressure with multiple assignments* Provide clear and articulate reports for senior management and stakeholders* Familiarity with the Atlassian tools (particularly Jira and Confluence) is desirable
