As a Change Lead Market Risk Analytics, you will be accountable for leading the robust business-driven change of market risk measurement and management systems. The role has least two direct reports, works closely with Markets Risk stakeholders and their direct reports (about 50 users) and prioritises work for and partners with Technology teams (about 20).
Your core responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining and extending the end-to-end Market Risk infrastructure including apps supporting user workflow, business procedures and the underlying data; resolving high priority issues swiftly; implementing enhancements that strengthen internal risk measurement and governance. Tools ensure the team complies with Australian Prudential and Reporting Standards 116, 117, 180 and 226; avoids surprise losses; manages historical and stress scenarios; and calculates and reports accurate capital requirements. Stories / requirements must be conceived and gathered from Stakeholders and delivered through active collaboration and testing with Technology partners.
Finally, your responsibilities include briefing and working with the Head of Traded Market Risk and the Head of Non-Traded Market Risk. This is a senior Markets Risk Analytics role and differentiated by its high profile responsibilities, high level of risk, mathematical and technology expertise coupled with an ability to communicate clearly and foster strong working relationships with the Markets Risk Leadership Team and their direct reports. About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
- Extensive Markets Risk experience
- Excellent analytical skills, including an advanced understanding of risk analytics
- Outstanding leadership and management capabilities enabling collaboration, team building and delivery of outcomes
- Strong understanding of Technology MIS components and data management
- Sustained self-motivation and clear communication skills
- Postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Science or Engineering)
