Regulatory Affairs Senior Analyst
Take on an important and diverse role that will see you work across a range of APRA related responsibilities as well as regularly preparing senior stakeholders for their dealings with APRA.

As a Senior Analyst in the Regulatory Affairs team within Regulatory Affairs & Aggregate Risk, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie's senior management, business and support groups to identify important regulatory trends and help Macquarie meet its obligations to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority ("APRA").

This is a great opportunity to develop deep expertise in prudential regulation through a hands-on role with fantastic exposure to Macquarie's diverse businesses and support areas. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing new business, product and transaction proposals across Macquarie for compliance with prudential standards, providing timely and accurate advice on APRA's requirements and expectations to Macquarie's staff and businesses, and preparing senior management and directors for key meetings with APRA.

Your ability to develop your understanding of prudential regulations and overlay this with your ability to analyse business propositions will prove critical to success. You will have opportunities to influence and participate in strategic planning. You are intellectually curious, a critical and independent thinker who enjoys taking responsibility for complex and challenging tasks, can conceptualise abstract ideas and take pride in getting the details right while remaining aware of the bigger picture.

You will have tertiary qualifications in one or more of finance, economics, accounting, law or public policy, coupled with strong relationship management skills and an ability to engage with a broad cross-section of individuals. You will have previous experience in a credit or operational risk, regulatory compliance, treasury, legal (including law firm) or finance role. Alternatively, you may have worked in a front office role at a financial institution or exchange with exposure to the prudential regulation of banks, and you are interested in enhancing your experience and skill set in a regulator relationship management role.
