Role Aim/Purpose:

  • Responsible for Wealth Advisory Sales in New South Wales (NSW)
  • Enhance existing adviser relationships to retain existing business and deliver new growth.
  • To develop new strategic clients that invest across one or multiple BlackRock/iShares capabilities.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Act with a client first mentality, and position BlackRock as the pre-eminent global asset manager in Australia.
  • Develop relationships with key aligned/independent advisory groups in NSW
  • Collaborate on thought leadership within Wealth Channel business and contribute to a strong and positive culture.
  • Develop and execute across a panel of Adviser Firms, including well defined sales strategies that will maximize fund flow within the region to existing key clients whilst identifying new opportunities and growth prospects.
  • Manage specific campaigns and events within NSW, in line with budgets around state expenditures, fund flows and revenue targets. 
  • Keep up-to-date on market and industry news via thoughtful commentary and insights and to the broader BlackRock Wealth team.
  • Provide assistance and input to National and State based IFA Dealer Group account plans.
  • Executing on key account plans as they pertain to our BlackRock/iShares product offerings with our strategic distributor relationships and third party channels.


Experience Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Proven track record of experience and driving results in the investment management industry in a sales role.
  • Strong existing relationships in the retail advisory / intermediary market, particularly with independent advisory groups.
  • A passion for investing, and a strong understanding, and ability to articulate, complex investment processes across asset classes, investment styles and portfolio structures.
  • Ability to present with authority on a broad range of financial products and markets.
  • Highly developed sales, service, communication, negotiation, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Appropriate tertiary and post-graduate qualifications
  • Capacity to work in a high activity sales environment across several focus strategies
  • This is a contract assignment until end June 2020.
