In this Developer role you will be involved with analysis, design and development for Online banking for business platform.

Prime Function:

  • Accountable for the analysis, design, development, implementation and support of applications in support of the Lines of Business strategies.
  • Some Specific Functions Of This Role:
  • Writes high quality and well-documented code according to accepted standards based on user requirements
  • Assist in development, testing and implementation of small to mid-size initiatives
  • Participates in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments as appropriate
  • Contributes to successful completion of project deliverables
  • Provides support to team members and application and s upport analyst.


  • Thorough in-depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both an industry and BMO perspective
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years programming experience with some business knowledge in the technologies below:
    • Java, POJOs, JUNIT, ANT or Gradle
    • SDLC Process
    • User Interface: Angular JS, Java script, HTML 5.0, CSS, AJAX, JSON, UI Responsive Design
    • RESTful services, Spring MVC framework, Servlets, JSP, SpringRest, Session Management,
    • IBM MQ Server 7.0/9.0
    • JPA, ORM Concepts, JDBC
    • JMS/MQ Series &MDB, Async communication
    • Webservices: (SOAP/HTPPS, SOAP/JMS) WSI standards, WS-Security, SAML, XML
    • Oracle DB, PL SQL
  • Good understanding of SDLC
  • Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies
