RBC is reimaging the role we play in our clients' lives. We are creating dedicated "reimagine" teams which will operate separately from the core banking business. These teams will operate in a completely agile environment where they will be able to create new capabilities, explore new business models and develop partnerships to help differentiate RBC.
In this role, you must be comfortable wearing multiple hats with a focus on building out data analytics function for various start-ups. You will collaborate with multiple teammates within the Product and Technology functions as well as a diverse team consisting of data scientists, data architects, software developers, and others.
What will you do?
Identify, manage, analyze, and interpret data to support the creation of meaningful and actionable insights to help our Ventures grow their business
Provide analytical subject matter expertise to individual Ventures including managing the data & analytics pipeline through:
Working collaboratively with the data architecture team, set the right requirements for an analytics function that allows integration of large amounts of data on a granular level from structured and unstructured data sources
Build-out baseline analytics reporting across our existing products & features to help answer common/general questions
Define & build complex SQL queries & reports for new products & features that drive value in product roadmap development
Develop highly effective analytical products such as marketing segmentations, churn analysis, member profiles deep dives, etc. that will enable the business to set strategic direction on client profiles
Iterate and measure success of initiatives and engagements.
Regularly present recommendations & opportunities to senior executives and client partners.

Solid technical skills in data analytics methodologies / tools - experience with statistical analysis and SQL.
Experience in / an interest in learning advanced analytics methodologies and tools (Python, R, machine learning, data visualization tools, etc.).
Comprehensive knowledge on building segmentation and predictive models.
High degree of organization and ability to multitask and shift priorities.
University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., statistics, economics, business) to demonstrate ability for critical thinking & numerical analytics.
Self-starter with a very strong passion for using data to influence business decisions and strategic investments.
