Field of activity

The Cloud Center of Excellence (CloudCoE) is an integral part of Deutsche Börse's Digital Transformation. It is responsible for setting up all necessary cloud infrastructure and organisational requirements to enable all Deutsche Börse Group IT teams to utilize state-of-the-art cloud technologies covering the whole range from IaaS, PaaS, to SaaS solutions in a secure and regulatory compliant way.

You will join a high-performance team dealing with cutting-edge technologies in an international environment. As “Cloud DevOps Teamlead” you will be responsible for creating a new Kubernetes based platform and oeprations capabitlity for the complete Deutsche Börse Goup. The platform will be initially based on OpenShift, but later alternatives like Google Anthos can be considered. There are already today some teams, who started to embark on a Kubernetes platform. The Cloud DevOps team is created newly to ensure that in the future there is a harmonized and centralized approach. The DevOps toolchain incl. tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory etc. will be used in order to create a blueprint of running services on top of this newly created Kubernetes platform.

You will be a key part of making our IT ready for cloud and for delivering the Cloud Strategy as outlined by our CIO and our Executive Board. “It's not possible” is a sentence which is not yours, as you will make things possible, accept new challenges, and take over responsibility & commitment for your deliveries.

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cloud devops engineers distributed over multiple locations
  • Architect and evolve DBG Kubernetes platform, running on AWS, Azure, GCP and on-premise
  • Coordinate and prioritize platform implementation and operation tasks
  • Coordinate and realize ongoing and efficient 24x7 support
  • Support the different product teams within DBG with deep technical know-how in their onboarding efforts
  • Support incident resolutions with your technical expertise

 Qualifications/required skills

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics or comparable
  • Relevant professional experience is a pre-requisite, preferable 5 years or more
  • Professional experience in project management, change management, and team leadership
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes, Docker and at least one public cloud service platforms
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Packer, Ansible
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured work approach, and confident handling of figures
  • Independent work method, high commitment to delivery, and high self-responsibility & ownership
  • Good process-analytics while developing well-structured problem-solving options and process overviews
