Accounting, Manager (International Bank)

Responsibilities

• Review HKMA banking returns and surveys;
• Review daily / monthly management reports;
• Review annual / interim financial statements;
• Review statutory financial disclosure statements;
• Participate in tax calculation and tax compliance matters;
• Liaise with external audit;
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to perform daily private fund operations;
• Handle general accounting duties, enquires and ad-hoc issues;
• Keep abreast of regulatory requirements, accounting standards and policies with relevant standards and guidelines, including Banking Ordinance, Banking (Capital) Rules, Banking (Liquidity) Rules, Banking (Exposure Limits) Rules, SPM etc.;
• Manage project groups and system UAT to ensure the successful implementation of new products / standards / system;
• Participate in ad hoc projects to support management's decision and departmental operation as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or any other business related discipline. Professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPAA) or equivalent will be advantage;
• Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in Hong Kong banking industry;
• Experience in preparation of HKMA banking returns;
• Strong numerical skills, competence with MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word;
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with an excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese;
• Attention to details and adherence to strict rules, standards and critical deadlines;
• Independent, mature, self-motivated, proactive, detail-minded with strong problem solving skills.
