Asia Credit Risk â€" Governance and Projects Lead / Business Manager, Vice President (Hong Kong)

Within Morgan Stanley, Credit Risk Management (CRM) evaluates credit risk transactions, especially loans and derivatives, from all Business Units within the Firm. The department also assigns Internal Credit Ratings; establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board; monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Risk Officer and senior management.

Based at the Firm's regional headquarters in Hong Kong, the Asia (incl Japan) CRM department is currently seeking a hands-on professional covering credit risk governance, projects and regulatory risk management to support CRM senior management in the region

Key responsibilities

• Work with Regional CRM Leadership team to create and maintain a strategic plan for the group's activities, and lead initiatives to enable its implementation
• Contribute to Legal Entity Risk Governance across Asia and participate in strategic and regulatory initiatives
• Review (and enhance where needed) credit risk management governance and credit risk frameworks for Asia Legal Entities
• Represent Asia CRM in regional / global risk and business expansion projects; tracking of project deliverables and tasks with a high degree of understanding of highly complex processes
• Conduct deep dives into specific areas of focus based on Risk and Regulatory priorities
• Conduct ongoing operational reviews of the credit risk policies and procedures, including the continuous identification and implementation of process and system improvements
• Act as trusted advisor to the Regional CRM team on all credit governance and regulatory matters
