Job Summary:
Carbon trading is a new business line that operates within HKEX's Carbon & ESG Products Team. As part of the role, Carbon & ESG Product Manager would formulate and manage HKEX's Carbon & ESG products, collaborate closely with external and internal counterparties in implementation of new products/initiatives, and support the growth of new business volume.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
• Lead efforts in the development, implementation, and launch of HKEX's new carbon products.
• Analyze market potential for HKEX's new Carbon & ESG related products by identifying client pain points, current trends, and other best practice products in the industry.
• Liaise with services providers, such platform vendor, carbon registries, carbon issuers, brokers, and market participants on any issues and new/amend policies.
• Develop strong working relationships with external and internal counterparties to understand the business drivers and be proactive in suggesting area of focus and potential improvements on HKEX's Carbon & ESG products.
• Work closely with regulators on any new issues or potential policy change related to Carbon & ESG products.
• Partner with Operations team in developing and designing the optimal business operations model and support product needs.
• Lead and drive market insight and analysis the carbon market trend leveraging day-to-day operational insight and provide recommendation on business discussion.
• Facilitate business discussion on potential new product design, implementation and product roll out process.

Qualifications:
• Ideally 5 years hands-on experience in finance. Experience in Carbon & ESG related asset classes and products is an advantage
• Understanding of financial market innovation trends, product development and application of new technologies in the financial industry.
• A proven track record of taking products and projects from inception, endorsement, design, development, testing and launch.
• Knowledge of Carbon & ESG related products is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to interact effectively with peers and senior management.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
