Assistant Vice President/ Associate â€" Market Maker Monitoring and Client Services - Operations

About the role
Reporting to the Vice President of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of our market makers in the Derivatives Market. You will also be the "go-to" person who will manage and support system enhancement in various market maker related initiatives.

Job responsibilities:
• Lead the market maker performance monitoring operations for HKEX
• Coordinate with Sales & Marketing Division, Product Development functions and IT on market maker monitoring programs related initiatives
• Prepare market maker reports and updates to management in all matters of importance
• Liaise with market maker clients regarding their market making performance as well as handling of client enquiries
• To undertake other special and ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisors

Job requirements:
• University degree or above
• 6+ years of working experience in the financial industry, with a preference for roles related to Client Services and/or Operations (candidate with less experience will be considered as an Associate role)
• A team-player attitude and ability to develop strong relationships
• Great self-organisation, task prioritisation, attention to detail and strong problem solving skill
• Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Ability to communicate in Putonghua would be an advantage, but not compulsory
• Proficiency in programming is an advantage
