The Role Responsibilities
  • Conducts all aspects of market research activities to support the commercial team.
  • Analyses deal economics through robust financial modelling.
  • Assists the team in pricing a deal/transaction to enhance deal selection and ensure alignment to AF strategy.
  • Performs robust risk analysis and ensuring adherence to the relevant bank polices/processes and Aviation Finance underwriting standards.
  • Supports the commercial team in related marketing activities, preparation of proposals etc.
  • Supports the commercial team in the origination of new business in franchise markets.
  • Support the Aviation Finance team in collaborating with CCIB teams to identify and target transactions and pursue cross-sell opportunities in line with CCIB's business strategy.
  • Support the Aviation Finance team in organising and driving business success through improvement in client penetration and profitability in conjunction coverage partners.
  • Effectively use SCB's industry expertise, knowledge and professional network for ideation, generating leads for new deals and assessment of opportunities
  • Client interface at senior management levels and ensuring that the engagement, services and quality of work meets the highest industry standards
  • Structuring of transactions including cross border deals, to best meet clients' needs covering solutions ranging from senior and/ or mezzanine debt/bonds and/ or operating and finance lease options, financing across different parts of the capital structure
  • Prepare high quality pitching and marketing materials for client presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including client coverage, other product teams in financial markets, transaction banking and risk.
  • To ensure that new and existing business is consistent with Group policies, meets applicable credit risk criteria, internal approval procedures and provides acceptable risk adjusted return for the Bank, all as defined in the Underwriting Standards, globally and locally, including reputational risk.
  • Support and oversee robust deal selection through transaction analysis and pricing, conflict resolution and risk management to ensure the business is consistent with the strategy and risk appetite of the Bank

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 2-3 years of experience in banking industry/ financial institution
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in related discipline
  • Experienced in credit analysis, ideally in aviation
  • Effective communication skills & ability towork under pressure
  • HKMA License as requested
  • Mandarin speaking is a must with good command in English
