Role Responsibilities
  • Provide support on rollout of data management framework (including privacy & secrecy, records management, data sovereignty and Responsible AI) and policy and procedures and related matters.
  • As second line of defence to provide oversight and advice for application of Fintech, Regtech, digital assets, key initiatives e.g. local governance of BDAI, AML Regtech, Regtech Inventory, open API.
  • Advise on data management related standards, guidelines, operating model, and risk and control self-assessment.
  • Provide advisory support from a second line of defence perspective on data privacy/data sovereignty, including but not limited to, privacy impact assessments, compliance training, compliance assurance, privacy risk assessment, cross-border data transfer, data extraction requests, etc.
  • Provide advisory support from a second line of defence perspective on responsible AI, including but not limited to, participation as a key stakeholder for the Responsible AI Forum, HKAB BDAI Taskforce.
  • Conduct review of Records Retention Schedule.
  • Liaise with Group Compliance on matters relating to data management.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Data management framework, policy and standards.
  • Fintech, Regtech, Digital Assets development.
  • Global and HK regulations and guidelines relating to data management including Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes issued by HKMA and the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
  • Working in Group/regional/country operating model (relationships).
  • Working with data governance committee for data related issues and risk monitoring, escalation and governance.
