About the Team

IT Operation team is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and managing day to day system operations, technology and infrastructure of the company. The team comprised of IT professionals from different functional and technical background. The goal is to provide high quality IT support service to end users in Pan Asia and maintain the availability of mission critical business application.
 

Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate to provide support for back office and corporate applications.  They are responsible for ensuring business continuity for the applications so that the users are able to carry out their day-to day tasks within their business function. The candidate will be required to work on shift hours including public holidays and beyond office hours where required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operational and production support tasks for back office / corporate applications (including compliance, risk management and finance) and new business requirements
  • Proactively action on queries from all the stakeholders including users from operations and corporate function 
  • Responsible for resolving incidents reported on Back Office (BO) and Corporate applications, within the agreed upon Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframe
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders on technology events and issues, and update progress on issue resolution
  • Work with development teams or application vendors to resolve and remediate issues
  • Discover and escalate risk issues to corresponding department in a timely manner
  • Align to ITIL standard, including incident, problem and change management
  • Align to IT Policies and Procedures
  • Update the operational procedure, troubleshooting guideline and user FAQs regularly
  • Participate in business continuity planning, including BCP drill with business users
  • Provide application support for weekend releases, market rehearsals and public holidays

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial industry
  • Strong understanding in trade settlement flow, trade reconciliation, regulatory reporting and corporate action
  • Familiar with operational and regulatory risk
  • Good general IT skills including the understanding of job scheduling concept, Oracle & MS SQL database and Linux shell script
  • Strong verbal and written communication in liaising with the stakeholders
  • Good work task prioritisation skill to support mission critical business flow and system
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Financial application knowledge is preferable
  • Prior support knowledge on Gloss, Oracle Financials or Axiom is preferable
