CIB Operations - Global Corporate Banking Deal Services - Analyst
Job Description:

The Global Corporate Banking Deal Services team partners closely with external and internal stakeholders, including clients and client legal counsels, bankers and deal team leads, credit, legal, compliance and business management to provide efficient and timely support with the execution of live deals. As a member of the team, your goal will be to assist product and coverage teams by providing consistent, high quality deal support and client service.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Product and Coverage teams including but not limited to:
  • Primary point of contact for bankers to coordinate & complete key transactional tasks
  • Facilitation of operational client and business queries
  • Front to back support on deal lifecycle including but not limited to initiating the deal process, raising screening requests, assist in obtaining relevant approvals from Business Management, Conflicts and other teams in the process and ensuring all related risks are adequately captured and communicated
  • Partner with the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Client Office and Compliance teams to assess documentation requirements for new client legal entity on-boarding and ensuring that product specific KYC and AML requirements for clients and transactions are completed before signing of legally binding agreement or mandates
  • Participate in bankers' regional meetings to proactively identify areas to add value and potential roadblocks that need to be addressed
  • Provide transparency on overall process and progress
  • Monitor deal controls to ensure milestones are met & achieved in a timely manner
  • Participation in global process enhancements
  • Collaborate with business and support functions to spread and leverage best practices
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Client Servicing or Client facing roles within the Financial Services Industry is required
  • Previous experience & sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital CM, M&A,ECM) as well as Global Corporate Banking products & processes is preferred
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Comfortable dealing with clients/senior executives on a regular or ad hoc basis
  • Highly self-motivated to work independently and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
  • Ability and drive to take full ownership of processes
  • Strong partnership and coordination skills
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners and clients in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
  • Deliver results in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
  • Fluency in Chinese is preferred as the role will be liaising with clients across APAC including Chinese clients
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
