The Company

We are currently working with top tier regional bank with huge exposure in Hong Kong.

The Role

Responsibilities:
  • Client Onboarding Support: Assist in the end-to-end client onboarding process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • KYC Due Diligence: Conduct thorough KYC checks, including verifying client identities, assessing risk profiles, and performing enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Collect, review, and maintain accurate client documentation, ensuring completeness and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
  • Relationship Management Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to gather client information, address inquiries, and resolve any onboarding-related issues.
  • Compliance Assistance: Support the KYC team in implementing and updating compliance procedures, staying informed about relevant regulatory changes, and ensuring adherence to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) guidelines.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze client profiles and associated risks, identifying potential red flags or suspicious activities and escalating any concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance the client onboarding process, suggesting improvements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce turnaround time.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to junior team members and Relationship Managers on KYC processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in client onboarding, KYC, or a similar role within the private banking or wealth management sector.
  • Knowledge of KYC and Regulatory Frameworks: In-depth understanding of KYC principles, AML/CFT regulations, and compliance requirements within the banking industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Cantonese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to effectively collaborate with Relationship Managers and other stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships to ensure smooth onboarding processes.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough due diligence, ensuring accuracy and completeness of client information and documentation.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in assessing risk profiles, identifying red flags, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in complex and time-sensitive situations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with client onboarding systems, databases, and related software applications.
  • Professionalism and Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
