Compliance Manager (FinTech)

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in compliance risk assessments, reporting, reviews, testing, provide compliance comments and advice
  • Assist in FinTech related projects, initiatives, and system launch/ enhancement
  • Keep track of key regulatory changes and notify relevant business divisions
  • Provide compliance advice to the business for BOCHK's broad array of products and business propositions, particularly on FinTech related ones
  • Advise on various business divisions' drafting of policies and procedures, compliance manuals, and core control documents to ensure that comply with local regulatory and BOCHK requirements
  • Review and update compliance related documents in reflecting latest rules and regulations, industry best practices, and changes in BOCHK business structure and activities
  • Conduct compliance training for staff in Hong Kong in accordance with local regulation and BOCHK training objectives
  • Assist to communicate with local regulators in professional manner including coordination in regulatory inspections, preparing regulatory reports, and handing regulatory inquiries
Requirements:
  • Good in both written and spoken Chinese and English; with knowledge of Mandarin being an asset
  • Accounting, audit, legal, or finance-related qualifications
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of work experience in compliance, audit, legal or regulatory fields in the financial services industry in Hong Kong
  • Core knowledge of regulatory compliance in financial industry required. Knowledge of FinTech strongly preferred.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with flexibility and adaptability to changes
  • Effective time and project management skills
  • Heightened sensitivity to and refined judgment in identifying and assessing concealed risks and collateral consequences of activities in jurisdictions having opaque and emerging legal and regulatory regimes
