The Credit Analyst is a management-level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees to monitor the Citi portfolio and identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team.
Responsibilities: - Leverage credit risk data experience and business acumen to observe key trends, threats, inaccuracies and drivers of those observations
- Implement initiatives to ensure consistency and compliance with global credit policies
- Liaise with cross-functional business counterparts to ensure accuracy and balance business and functional interactions and priorities
- Provide analyses and reporting of complex data trends to senior management and the business
- Utilize UNIX and Statistical Analysis System (SAS) to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and hypothesis testing
- Provide support for ongoing monthly and quarterly internal and regulatory report
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- In addition to above, the potential candidate will also be a key participant in a global wide risk transformation project to ensure all those work streams/project requirements, including but not limited to program implementation, plan development, deliverables tracking and project risk identification, are delivered with satisfactory quality and in a timely manner.
Qualifications: - 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Proven SAS/SQL programming, advanced spreadsheet and MS Office skills
- Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures and financial analytic tools
- Consistently learn and apply new skills quickly
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to multitask
Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
