Act as Risk co-grantor in approving credit applications submitted by relationship managers within the given lending authority limit (“LAL”), through detailed evaluation of the credits, identifying risk factors, or making recommendation.
Ensure the credit applications are in compliance with internal credit policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements, where applicable.
Work with relationship managers in examining industry/business sector analysis and portfolio review/stress testing.
Work with relationship managers to evaluate and monitor credit exposure at individual obligor level, obligor group level, industry sector level and on portfolio basis.
Monitor and manage the parameters and quality of the credit portfolio.
Evaluate obligor risk rating and facility risk rating in the credit applications as recommended by relationship managers.
Perform clients' site visits with relationship managers to conduct credit due diligence in the credit approval and monitoring process.
Early identify deteriorating credit and timely review and update the loan classification.
Collect market intelligence through relevant channels.
Co-operate with internal / external control units for internal / external audit work; HKMA periodic review / ad hoc review / on-site examination.
Well-versed with trade finance, loan products and treasury products.
Work on credit risk related initiatives on project basis or periodic basis, where applicable.
Bachelor Degree or above in Business Administration, Banking, Accounting or Finance
At least 8 years wholesale credit experience preferably with exposures in large corporations in Greater China region, including minimum 4 years of experiences in credit approval preferably with Lending Authority
Work independent, with good communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS word, PowerPoint and Excel
