Commercial Banking - Data and Analytics Department
Hang Seng's Commercial Banking business provides customised one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists
We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our D&A Department as Functional Trainee ("FT"). Upon completion of this 48-month FT program, the Functional Trainee will be developed as a competent D&A Specialist able to interpret and analyze complex data using different advanced and sophisticated techniques, generate insights & create recommendations to solve critical Business problems and develop skills for the future of Banking and D&A as a whole.
Throughout this structured and fast-track programme, FT will learn and develop related job knowledge and experience by having comprehensive training and on-job attachment to different D&A functions like Data Management, Data Visualization, MI Modernization, Real-time Decisioning Platform and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Risk Analytics and Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning - all based on the trainee profile and competency. All through the program, the FT will have the opportunity to learn from the experts in these fields along with senior management mentorship and guidance.
Principal responsibilities

• Understand customer behaviors from a 360-degree view across their channel usage, product usage, digital footprints etc. to conduct customer engagement analysis and develop strategies for superior customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle
• Work with Business stakeholders to develop customer targeting strategies from D&A perspective for revenue growth opportunities
• Support campaign management, real-time event triggers deployment by rules set-up in decision engine and upliftment of campaign / trigger's performance through ongoing tracking and review processes
• Support adhoc analysis, MI modernization & regular reporting and datamart development and cloud-based analytics enablement projects
• Analyze potential risk attributes in customer behavior and transaction patterns and assist the implementation of analytic solutions in financial crime risk areas
• Design and deliver long term solutions by adopting Big data technologies and leveraging advanced analytical and computing technique

Requirements

• University degree in Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computing or a related discipline is preferred
• Completion of student / fintech internship program (6 or 11 months) in HASE Wholesale D&A Department preferred
• Good analytical power and reasoning abilities, presentation and project management skills and capacity to work independently and as a team
• Great sense of ownership, responsibility and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer need identification and delivery of superior customer experience
• Capable of communicating effectively, embracing changes and overcoming challenges with the ability to safeguard positive attitude under complicated situations and remain open to work with others from diverse cultures
• Strong self-motivation & perseverance with good interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua preferred
• Knowledge of programing languages like SAS/Python/R would be an added advantage
