Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cash Equity Business Analyst to join our dynamic team within the Front Office Trading Systems department of our investment bank. As a Cash Equity Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the front office trading systems used by our cash equity trading desk. You will collaborate closely with traders, technology teams, and other stakeholders to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of our trading systems.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements from front office traders and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technology teams to design and implement enhancements to the cash equity trading systems.
- Conduct system testing, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure successful deployment of system changes.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues, working closely with traders and technology teams to provide timely resolutions.
- Provide day-to-day support to front office traders, addressing their queries and issues related to the trading systems.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory and risk requirements are met within the trading systems.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose system enhancements or optimizations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and market developments related to cash equity trading systems and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
- Document system functionalities, workflows, and processes for reference and training purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst within the cash equity business domain in an investment bank or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of front office trading systems and workflows in the cash equity space.
- Knowledge of trading protocols, market data feeds, and trading order management systems (OMS).
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and electronic trading platforms used in cash equity trading.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, creating functional specifications, and conducting system testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into system solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with traders, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the cash equity trading domain is a plus.
