Key Duties • Operations of in-house Fund Accounting & Operation and Financial Accounting for SFC Corp(Asset Management) • Hands-on daily fund operations, corporate action management, NAV reconciliation, valuation and fund audits and compliance and risk management support • Prepare monthly financial reporting, management reporting and FRR reports of SFC licensed firm which ensure its compliance with regulatory requirements FUND Accounting & Operation (in-house) Duties & Responsibilities • Reconcile/oversee the reconciliation with the custodian and fund administrator on Net Asset Value (NAV) and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund related reports.; • Taking care of the day-to-day operations of the funds and following up with third parties, including investors and fund administrators or other external parties; • Coordinate and arranging investor servicing activities, including investor on-boarding, capital calls, distributions as well as issuance of shareholder statements; • Supporting the initial setup of any new funds taken on, fund launching and liaising with independent tax specialists, lawyers, and notaries as part of the set up process; • Generate performance and risk reports and coordinate with Risk Management and Compliance to conduct periodic operational risk assessments. • Oversee the risk-based periodic internal review systems of controls over the operations. • Assist in budgeting preparation • Proper due diligence is performed in the selection and monitoring of the service providers to ensure they have the ability and capacity to undertake the provision of the service effectively. • Client information management, processing and record keeping to ensure records of such are kept and maintained • Responsible for fund administrator and custodian selection and work closely with them. • Oversee fund payment process and cash flow of the portfolio including monitoring expenses. Financial Accounting Duties & Responsibilities for SFC-Licensed Corporation (Asset Management) • Prepare daily journal entries, including asset management advisory fee income, intercompany • transaction, and payments and operating leasing in HKFRS and USGAAP for supervisors’ review • and control. • Maintain fixed asset register, operating lease asset register, intercompany reconciliations, • advisory fee receivable aging and ensure it is in line with general ledger. • Compile monthly financial statements in HKFRS and USGAAP and handle monthly and quarterly • Head office reporting packages • Prepare monthly FRR returns to SFC and regular/ad-hoc reports to Management/head office in a timely and accurate manner. • Compile and present information to internal and external auditors/regulatory authorities to excel their tax and auditing requirements, prepare audit confirmation and handle related enquiries from stakeholders Requirements • University graduate in Accounting or Finance discipline; • Qualified Accountant with HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent • With min 4 years fund accounting and operation and/or SFC licensed corporations or • international accounting firm experience; • Hands on experience in NAV and FRR reporting; A fast learner who is able to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines; • Strong in analysing and problem solving, detail-oriented; • Proficiency in MS Office application (Excel) and accounting software; • Native in Mandarin and Fluency in English and Cantonese with excellent communication skills.
