To do this, Tradeweb recognises the need to have the right people in place who understand Tradeweb' s market, the needs of our Asian customers and dealers and have the ability to bridge the gap between the two.



Role Description:

Tradeweb is looking for a Head of APAC Sales (ex Japan) to join the Hong Kong team. This role will be responsible for expanding Tradeweb' s business to institutional investors and developing high level relationships with key customers in Non-Japan Asia. In additional, a key part of this role will also be to ensure that the regional sales team is focused on achieving the required targets set.

As such, the position requires an experienced sales and business manager, capable of developing the business in Asia, specifically outside of Japan, operating at a global, strategic level as well as actively leveraging business opportunities and growing dealer and customer relationships. Ideally, you will have gained a solid understanding of Fixed Income products. To be successful, you will also need to demonstrate an ability to work closely with various internal teams both locally but also in the London and the US offices. Importantly, you should be an effective communicator, able to leverage and share information to maximise growth and opportunity within the non-Japan Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications:

Specifically, we are looking to engage a senior individual with the following skills and abilities:
  • Extensive experience within the global fixed income markets, with majority of time spent working in Hong Kong and/or China, during which time they will have established a thorough understanding of the region and local business practices to actively drive Tradeweb's business forward.
  • A thorough understanding of automated trading solutions, multi-dealer platforms and the how technology can enhance the relationship between a dealer and its customers to generate liquidity and improve trade efficiency.
  • Excellent sales skills with a proven track record of establishing new business relationships, leveraging business leads and generating revenue through identifying and executing real business opportunities.
  • A proven leader with effective people management skills; able to motivate and lead others and to generate momentum and consensus to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Native Mandarin Speaker
