Our client, a leading foreign private bank, is seeking an accredited and customer-oriented Assistant Relationship Manager to join their team. As the Client Documentation Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the client documentation process, tax team and mail room services.
Responsibilities:
Client onboarding & Documentation
Lead and manage a small team responsible for client documentation, including account opening, KYC procedures, periodic reviews, and client data maintenance.
Develop and implement efficient and standardized processes to streamline the client documentation workflow.
Ensure compliance with all relevant and latest regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
Provide consistent standard & approaches for onboarding client documentation and related activities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Compliance Officers, and Legal teams, to gather necessary documentation and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Partner with Compliance to guide regulatory initiatives relating to client documentation, including tax reporting
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to client documentation.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and enhance the client experience.
Vendor Management – mail room services & archive services
Risk Management
Keep abreast external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements change, including the Bank’s policies, operating procedures and controls to meet the Bank’s and regulatory requirements and protect the business from financial and reputational risk
Static data control: ensure completeness and accuracy through procedure review and self-initiated control check
Risk assessments: Identify and assess the material risks that arise in the area of responsibility
Qualifications:
Proven experience in client documentation or a similar role within the private banking or wealth management industry, minimum 8 years experiences in account opening.
Bachelor's degree or above
Strong knowledge of FATCA, QI and CRS reporting regime
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Previous experience in managing outsourced vendor preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Work with technology for user testing and new implementation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
