Head of Special Assets Management (Risk), Corporate Banking to be respondible in leading a team of Special Assets Management in the Risk Management Dept to control and manage non-performing assets and impairment loss.
Job Responsibilities - Oversee Special Assets (Risk Management) team to formulate debt recovery strategies and direct team to execute.
- Be responsible for the department's adherence to the legal and regulatory requirements, as well as Bank's internal policies and guidelines.
- Prepare reports in relation to non-performance loan according to the Bank's policies
- Approve debt restructuring, security enforcement, institution of legal proceedings, provisions, asset classifications within the delegated authorization limit.
- Maximize debt recovery for the designated accounts through different means and methods including cash/ assets recovery, debt restructuring, security enforcement, obtaining additional securities etc.
- Liaise with solicitors and outside collection agents on problem loans management.
- Supervise / execute the repossession and sale of collaterals
- Timely coaching and feedback to team members.
- Achieve annual business targets, for instances, provision balance, impairment loss ratio, bad debt recoveries, etc.
Job Requirements - University graduate specializing in business or risk management is preferred
- 20+ years' relevant Special Assets, Remedial Management or Risk Management experience in bank, credit or related field.
- Professional Qualification of Certified Credit Risk Management Professional (Credit Portfolio Management) (CCRP(CPM)) is preferred.
- Solid experience on Corporate Banking collection and knowledge of NPL management including documentation, collateral enforcement, litigation in HKSAR.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements such as relevant ordinances and supervisory guidelines.
- Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English
