IT Procurement Category Manager

My client, a leading insurance house, is growing and expanding its Procurement function, looking for 1 Tech Procurement Category Manager to join the regional office.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for managing procurement categories with primary focus on technology, digital, data & analytics related spend and global supplier strategy

* Support the development of category sourcing plan that sets short, medium and long term goals and objectives.

* Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, risk mitigation and/or cost savings through spend analysis, internal and external supply market review.

* Support procurement function related transformation projects.

* Responsible for execution of end-to-end sourcing activities including but not limited to internal requirement analysis, supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development, competitive bidding process, commercial and contract negotiation. Collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the process

* Manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality, including technical input to negotiations on strategically significant contracts.

* Support development and implement the third party risk management framework.

Requirements

* 6-8 years+ of relevant experience in managing technology categories.

* Strong understanding and experience of procurement category best practice, strategic sourcing, end-to-end sourcing execution on high spend strategic negotiations, contract development and supplier management

* Experience from financial services industry or cosultancies, preferably in life insurance

* Knowledge in source-to-pay system, preferably Oracle Finance and Procurement systems

* Deep understanding and experience of contracts with complex structure and maintenance

* Proven change management capability

* Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
