About the client
Our client is a well-known and leading technology firm that provides various online services i.e. e-commerce platforms, online/mobile games, email, advertising services and other more.
Their business has spread around the world and with operation in Greater China, US, UK, Canada, Singapore etc. They have steady growth and solid expansion plans, they are committed to sustainable growth and development, due to recent trends in the market and increase in trade volume, they are looking for a Legal professional to join the team in Hong Kong. You will gain a great exposure in the organization and a platform to grow and develop further in your career.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Working under the Legal and Compliance department. Report directly to the Head of Legal. You are responsible to provide internal legal support to business units and relevant stakeholders.
Other Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate wide range of commercial contracts and agreements
- In-charge of US and HK capital markets transactions
- Responsible for US and HK regulatory matters - listing rules compliance
- Advising business units on investment structure, corporate restricting proposals, corporate finance activities etc.
- Reviewing, drafting and advising on legal documents, i.e. transaction documents, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters etc.
- Liaise with external counsels
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by the group/top management
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer in Common Law jurisdictions with 4+ years of PQE gained from law firm and / or commercial environment
- Strong drafting skills
- Good team player with effective communication skills
- Business and commercial sense
- Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Manager grade
