Responsibilities
- Lead and oversight of operational activities relating to investment account opening, customer services, product set-up, corporate actions, settlement and reconciliation, etc.
- Develop, monitor and report of KPIs and metrics related to the operational support.
- Review and assess the control effectiveness for the operational processes. Design improvement actions and monitor the execution.
- Represent the team as a SME in and lead / drive work stream meetings to support various initiatives from investment, client servicing and regulatory perspective. Provide customer insights to Product team to optimal the product features and customer experience.
- Analyse business requirements or new business initiatives to develop and enhance procedures and controls to support business development and at the same time ensure compliance with the Bank’s guidelines and HKMA/SFC regulatory requirements,
- Participate and/or lead Investment Operations projects, working closely with the project teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation
- Offer assistance and directions to team members and provide guidance to drive the team to improve from market know
- Assess and plan resource to ensure sufficient capacity to complete the tasks within SLA
- Participate in system development projects include UAT, system modification and other ad-hoc projects
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance or related discipline
- 5+ years’ relevant experience gained from asset management industry, at least 3 years in leading an Operations team.
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle for various instruments including but not limited to equity, fund, FX, listed and OTC derivatives
- Excellent systems and business knowledge on investment operations gained from asset management
- Solid understanding of regulatory, compliance and legal environment in the Investment Management industry. Good knowledge on rules & regulations of SFC and Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
- Proven management experience with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills, judgment, and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and external service providers
- Superior analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
