The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Execute annual product roadmap to support APE growth and revenue generation
  • Support product development and work closely with key stakeholders / support functions to formulate, implement and enhance life insurance product
  • Drive competitive customer offer / strategic campaign to drive business growth
  • Support the execution of life digital agenda and uplift product penetration of mass client segment
  • Good understanding of market trend / development and proactively identify new business opportunity
Business
  • Participate in annual budgeting and product strategy discussion
  • Have good understanding on market trend, client needs and provide timely market intelligence update
  • Manage and execute customer offer campaign
  • Ensure full compliance and execution of banca product governance policies and processes to meet internal and group requirements, as well as local regulatory requirements
  • Drive digital product and marketing plan for life to uplift our penetration and promote up-sell opportunity
Processes
Responsible for executing and managing the following process:
  • Product Management for (i) Prudential Life products distributed to Retail / Commercial clients; (ii) Broker products distributed to PvB clients; (iii) HKMC Annuity. Scope of product management includes:
    • New product approval / modification
    • Product renewal
    • Regular product maintenance, e.g. annual bonus declaration, medical repricing, credit rate change
  • Provider Approval / Management for (i) Prudential; (ii) Other insurers distributed via PvB broker models; (iii) HKMCA
  • Digital life product distribution via online banking / SC Mobile
  • Ensure our life product fulfil all relevant regulatory circulars guideline from HKIA / HKMA, and internal Group guideline / risk framework
Risk Management
  • Proactively identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risk related to life insurance product distribution
  • Advise relevant stakeholders on the application of relevant risk management frameworks and on outcomes of risk identification and assessment methodologies
  • Ensure proactive and timely assessment, execution of evolving regulatory changes/practices and associated risks
Governance
  • Obtain necessary approvals from local / group product approval forum for all new product launch / modification / renewal
  • Be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management through appropriate governance channels
  • Propose control effectiveness and efficiency improvements and simplifications where appropriate
  • Ensure timely completion of gap analysis and comply with any regulatory change related to life product
  • Ensure all relevant approval records / evidence are in place to prepare for any audit / regulatory on-site exam

Our Ideal Candidate
  • University graduate with degree in Marketing / Business Admin / Actuarial / related disciplines
  • In-depth understanding in life insurance encompassing product development, product marketing and business development
  • Possess strong insight on customer needs, industry trends and regulatory environment
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
