Metrics Monitoring Analyst, Analyst - Risks Hong Kong

Main accountabilities:

The metric monitoring analyst is responsible for:
  • Definition of target processes, required investments & roadmap considering short, average and long term needs but also the digital opportunities
  • IT system architecture definition associated in coordination with the RMA/COO and ITEC
  • Monitoring of the process efficiency, in particular about data quality
  • Promoting the digital culture within MMG / identifying perimeter & process which could benefit from digital solutions
  • Commando teams

Mission details:

The role offers high visibility and requires close cooperation with MMG, Risks and COO teams regionally and globally. The principal missions of the position consist of:
  • Activity monitoring in compliance with global regulations
o Manage the quarterly activity monitoring process of Asian trading desks
o Manage and contribute to regular calibration exercises;
o Regional point of contact for activity monitoring queries;
o Owner of MMG action points from internal committees / regulators.
  • Second level analysis regulatory metrics
o Identify anomalies and trends, follow up on findings;
o Data quality control and improvement initiatives on metrics inputs.
  • Regulatory watch & ad-hoc studies
o Follow regulatory changes regionally and globally;
o Communicate regulatory updates, provide training to Risks staff;
o Conduct ad-hoc studies and respond to requests on regulatory topics.

Profile Required

Key Skill Areas & knowledge Required:
  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Risk management, Engineering or mathematics;
  • Understanding of market and counterparty risk and credit valuation adjustment;
  • Understanding of global market activities and OTC derivatives;
  • Enterprising, curious, pro-active, rigorous, team spirit;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on Risk topics
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • Fluent English compulsory and French is a plus;
  • Strong Excel skill required and VBA programming skill preferred;
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements is a plus.
