Pricing Contributions Team Leader - CABM, APAC
Our Team:
We are the Content Acquisition & Business Management team (CABM). We form an integral part of the Global Data department and Bloomberg overall, and we're responsible for acquiring and publishing all the OTC pricing data, Commodity data, Alternative data and Crypto-Currencies which makes Bloomberg so powerful. We build and manage relationships with the many financial institutions, market associations and government agencies who partner with Bloomberg with such data, and we're always on the lookout for new opportunities to enrich our data content. We manage the governance, costs and quality of the data we acquire, and we collaborate with the wider company to develop our acquisition strategies while ensuring we are aligning with the agendas of our key partners.

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has opened up in APAC for an experienced, driven leader to become the Pricing Contributions Team Leader for APAC. Covering the sales aspect of the business, you will be leading a team of motivated and experienced business managers based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, China, and India covering all markets across APAC.

We'll trust you to:
  • Lead the Pricing Contributions team across APAC - you'll need to be a strong and dedicated leader capable of handling, mentoring and developing a diverse team of talented people
  • Evaluate and monitor the success of your team against regional and global metrics
  • Service clients and data contributors across the region
  • Plan and execute your business strategy by working closely with the other CABM managers in APAC and across the globe and various internal partners such as Core Sales, Enterprise Solutions, Product and others. You will drive your own team's agenda while ensuring that this aligns with the wider goals of the department and company
  • Deeply understand the demands of our clients and data contributors, and the markets in which they operate. Working hand-in-hand with internal groups such as Sales, Enterprise, Electronic Trading, Product and Engineering, you will harness your team's diverse expertise and skillsets to ensure that we continually exceed the expectations our customers have of Bloomberg
  • Put in place key performance indicators include coverage of the pricing universe, quality of that data and the usage by our clients
  • Interest and understanding of the Market and Regulatory landscape across APAC especially in key markets such as China

You'll need to have:
  • Strong, well-practiced leadership skills with several years' experience of people management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of the Bloomberg business to be able to align the team's agenda with the Enterprise objectives
  • In-depth understanding of the OTC pricing and Alternative data, and an excellent appreciation of the commercial landscape in which Bloomberg operates
  • Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and partners
  • Passion for diversity and inclusion, with a true understanding of its importance to our business
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contracts to manage various redistribution and partnership relationships with contributors

We'd love to see:
  • Experience developing a team in the APAC region, with remote management experience
  • Established network in the finance industry, particularly across APAC and in the OTC space
  • Deep understanding of the IRS, OIS, FX derivatives workflow
  • Commercial mindset and creative problem solver
  • Proficiency in an Asian language - ideally Mandarin
