We are looking for a motivated, ambitious Quant Trader with strong background developing and trading/managing mid-frequency Equities and Options strategies. In this role, you will research and design algorithmic trading strategies from end-to-end, working closely with CIO, researchers, developers, and network engineers. You will be involved in the trading research, the system implementation, and the latency optimization process. You will also work with COO to implement the operational functions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for trade execution in global equity (US/ HK/ China included) and derivatives (options, futures, swaps)
  • Build and develop quantitative strategies
  • Monitor orders, market movement, gather market color and communicate relevant information to the investment team
  • Optimize strategies with the help of research team
  • Assist the design of signal or limits monitoring
  • Manage risk, and ensure optimal execution of trading strategies
  • Help develop risk management framework
  • Conduct operational function and work with operation team to ensure smooth trade settlement process and resolve any trade related issues
  • Conduct daily market sentiment, risk exposure, P&L and reporting
  • Conduct post trade analysis of trading strategies and algo performance
  • Coordinate assignments as requested by the team on an ad hoc basis

 

Experience Required:

  • B.S./M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, financial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or other relevant quantitative disciplines
  • Good candidates with 1-2 years of experience related to quantitative trading and fresh graduates can be considered
  • Previous experience in quantitative research or algorithmic trading is preferred
  • A background in equity and options is desirable
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Willing to work night shift for US market
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to solve problems using quantitative models and methods
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and able to work independently
  • Focus, self-initiated individual with attention to details and accuracy in data analysis
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for good communications
