Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Trader to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced world of capital markets. As a Quantitative Trader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative trading strategies, utilizing advanced mathematical and statistical models to analyze market data and make informed investment decisions. You will work closely with a team of traders, researchers, and technologists to optimize trading strategies, manage risk, and generate profitability in the capital market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quantitative trading strategies using mathematical models, statistical analysis, and algorithmic trading techniques.
Conduct in-depth analysis of market data, including historical price movements, trading volumes, and market trends, to identify profitable trading opportunities.
Collaborate with researchers and technologists to design and improve trading algorithms and infrastructure.
Monitor and manage trading positions in real-time, adjusting strategies as market conditions change to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
Utilize advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to build predictive models for market movements, volatility, and other relevant variables.
Conduct backtesting and simulation of trading strategies to assess their performance and refine them for live trading.
Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in financial markets, trading strategies, and technological advancements to identify potential competitive advantages.
Perform risk management activities, including position sizing, stop-loss orders, and hedging strategies, to ensure effective risk control.
Collaborate with other traders and teams to share insights, strategies, and best practices, contributing to the overall success of the trading desk.
Maintain accurate records of trades, positions, and performance metrics, and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master's or Ph.D. degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a quantitative trader, preferably in a capital market or proprietary trading environment.
Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and investment products, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and options.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or C++, and experience with data analysis libraries and tools.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis, time series modeling, and optimization techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable trading strategies.
Strong mathematical aptitude and familiarity with probability theory, stochastic calculus, and numerical methods.
Experience with algorithmic trading platforms and order execution systems is desirable.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage risk effectively and make quick decisions under pressure.
