Our client - a HK life insurer is looking for a IFRS 17 Project Manager to join their IT team. In this role, you will drive strategic transformation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain expertise in IFRS17 and other insurance operation. Utilize your project management skills and industry knowledge to make an impact.

Responsibility:

  • Manage end-to-end implementation of IFRS 17 in the life insurance company.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and develop solutions for compliance.
  • Create and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
  • Communicate project updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and motivate team members.
  • Drive change management strategies for IFRS 17 adoption.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data and calculations.
  • Stay informed on IFRS 17 developments and propose process enhancements.
  • Contribute to policy and system improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and project management experience required.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 and insurance industry processes preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management certifications and insurance industry knowledge are a plus.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Extensive project management experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 17 requirements and their application in life insurance.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and actuarial processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address project risks.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance products and operations is desirable.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and systems used in the insurance industry.
