Senior Collector - Wealth & Personal Banking

HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Collector.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Support, determine or initiate appropriate actions to ensure the efficient and effective progression of a specific Collection process flow or multiple Collections process flows under Retail Banking.  e.g. Credit Card, unsecured Personal Loan, Overdrafts, Mortgage and other unsecured lending in order to deliver a processional service to our customers
  • Ensure the integrity of the process flow(s) across assigned function(s), whilst optimizing the designed output in order to contribute to help our customers resolve their delinquency problems and by doing so, creates a favorable opinion of our organization and an increased willingness to repay their commitments
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and Collection Operations policies and procedures
  • Pursue delinquency and charge-off accounts by making telephone calls, understand customer’s situation, negotiate and arrangement suitable treatment for those customer who are facing financial problems
  • Handle outbound and inbound collection calls
  • Handle customer’s feedback and complaints in relation to collection action and 3rd party collection agencies (DCA)
  • Handle DCA case assignment and relation operations


  • Candidate with proven knowledge in credit control
  • With experience within the banking and financial sector and knowledge in collections process flow and collection system
  • With good command of English and Cantonese
  • Confident in handling outbound and inbound collections call and possesses good negotiation skills
