Global Legal plays an important role in protecting the Group’s reputation by helping to future-proof the organisation through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all global businesses and functions, the team offers a diverse range of legal skills, jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Senior Engagement Manager- Global Legal.
Principal Responsibilities Deliver Communications within Legal. This will include but not be limited to
- Work closely with the Chief Legal Officer, the ASP ExCo and the ASP and Global People and Culture leads to provide guidance and expertise on best-in-class communications, providing specialist communications input across global, regional and local teams including town halls, vlogs, operational comms, intranet (Workplace), Exchanges and townhalls
- Ensure coherent and user friendly messages fit for both opertations and in-house legal professionals, providing regular communications to stakeholders utilizing a range of channels
- Align with Group communications and interact with the Internal Comms team in order to keep abreast of latest tools and collaterals available to deliver to our key stakeholders in Legal
- Drive employee engagement, understanding and enabling messaging with Legal’s priorities
- Encourage visible leadership and dialogue from stakeholders, directing conversation with colleagues on the most relevant and meaningful topics
- Build strong relationships with the teams within Legal COO, work with the Legal Communication and Engagement team to build a communication network across the globe
- Help to introduce platforms that enable employees to discuss, challenge and contribute ideas that help embed a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Support the communications around our portfolio of change initiatives
- Support the execution of communications campaigns and projects that support HSBC themes, in collaboration with relevant Legal COO project teams and other global, regional and country communications colleagues
- Designing and delivering a range of content, ensuring a high level of creativity
- Supporting the COO and ASP Legal leadership with communication and engagement activities
Communication
- Work in partnership with Communications experts on effective internal communications in support of organisational development
- Co-design and deliver user centric internal communication to all key stakeholders
- Learn and understand the audience to build tailor made communication solutions fit for purpose
- Foster and maintain trusted and professional relationships with the Asia Legal leadership team and develop strong partnerships with all members
- Regular communications update to stakeholders and the wider Function utilizing a range of channels
- Communications management of various events in Legal, such as off-sites, conferences and events for top talent. This will include also leadership and professional development, D&I, well-being etc
- Designing and delivering a range of content, ensuring a high level of creativity
- Providing engagement expertise across all communications areas and regions
Requirements
- University or Masters qualification in a relevant business discipline e.g. business administration, marketing, economics, communications
- Experience managing digital teams creating customer facing experiences
- Proven experience in creating and evolving an exceptional customer/employee experience vision and translating that into practical solutions with commercial impact
- Previous experience in innovation or research
- Strong experience working with senior leaders to create awareness and interest for the customer needs
- Strong EQ and CQ and Knowledge of working across time zones, cultures and competing customer requirements in Asia
- Seasoned ability to manage senior stakeholders to develop great experiences
- Big picture and long term thinker, able to detect trends out of weak signals and anticipate potential impact
- Proven track record of inventive and resourceful communications solutions
- Strong organisational, planning and implementation skills
- Able to translate work stream outputs into inspiring communications that resonate with colleagues at all levels and in all locations
- Proactive and able to demonstrate initiative and an appetite for continuous improvement
- Commercial and delivery focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to re-prioritise in very short timescales
- Energetic and self-motivated team player
- Microsoft Office skills
- Needs to be a self-starter, willing to take accountability and able to work effectively
- Ideally experience in Poppulo / Seenit / HSBC NowShare / Adobe Premier Pro
- Campaign development is desirable
- Experience in video editing, photography, Creative PowerPoints, infographics, animations is desirable
