Senior Operations Associate (Exchange)

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist operational workflows setup and implementation                      
• Manage daily crypto operations and settlement workflows, including but not limited to:
• Trade booking
• Transaction & Position reconciliation and post-trade settlement
• System & database maintenance
• Crypto assets transfer
• Liaise with internal team & external parties to resolve trade and settlement issues
• Prepare daily operation/risk reports
• Work with front & Middle office on any ad-hoc tasks as required         
• Identify operational control gaps & manage initiatives to improve operational processes and reduce operational risk                
• Monitor operational and risk metrics and escalate potential issues or anomalies                    
• Partner with treasury, operations, and security teams to manage liquidity and minimize crypto risk
• Assist to develop and oversee operational risk management related matters and initiatives and develop risk mitigation action plans                      
• Assist to review and update risk management framework, policies and controls taking into consideration the Exchange's strategy, regulatory requirements and emerging risk scenarios
• Facilitation of operational risk incident collection, investigation, follow up and conducting data analysis and reporting                   
• Coordinate with internal parties to perform Internal Control Self-Assessment review
• Oversee the operational risk incident management process to guarantee that timeliness, integrity, and quality control are maintained                                        
• Participate in other ad-hoc assignments             

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, computer science, risk management and other related disciplines              
• Prior experience in a middle office, operations, finance or relevant operational risk experience, preferable in banking operations, Business Continuity Plan and relevant drill tests           
• Familiar with operation process and related knowledge of investment business, and good understanding of operational risk management tools                
• At least 2 years of experience in Crypto operations / crypto related fields                   
• Strong knowledge in banking policies, procedures, risks & controls, regulatory requirements, market development of operational risk management and internal control practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin                
• Less experience will be considered for the position of Associate
