We are currently seeking a high caliber candidate to join our department as Senior UI UX Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Be responsible and accountable for leading, driving and growing the UI UX discipline for the bank
  • Lead and drive UI UX design for the bank's digital product and servicing journeys across digital platforms and related channels
  • Collaborate with product, business and IT teams to uncover customer and business needs, and translating them into intuitive and engaging digital experiences
  • Support product definition and frame problems by working with partners to plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gain alignment on customer and business needs
  • Define future opportunities to innovate and elevate the bank's products and services
  • Influence the vision, strategy and roadmap from customer perspective to inspire new ideas and put the bank at the forefront of experience design
  • Managing through shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization in an agile environment, while championing prioritization of customer-centric product enhancements grounded in research and analysis to help set the strategy and product road map for the team
  • Drive and guide team members in all aspects of the design process, from research and ideation to conceptualisation and execution
  • Define best practises and processes and embed these into the team to allow them to function efficiently and effectively, while ensuring the team's designs meet relevant standards and governance processes
  • Collaborate with designers to identify dependencies and ensure we're creating cohesive and coherent customer experiences
  • Navigate conflict resolution within the team as well as within projects, teams and relationships
  • Present deliverables to the internal team and stakeholders while effectively communicating the thought process and strategies behind design decisions
  • Nurture a positive, creative, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages collaboration between teams with constructive and respectful feedback
  • Coach, mentor and elevate designers, shaping the way designers work and create a space for each designer to thrive, learn and grow
  • Contribute to further elevating the digital design capability and customer-centricity within the bank
Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in UI UX design, human-computer interaction, or related fields
  • 5+ years in conceptualizing and creating designs for large-scale digital platforms, either in-house commerce or agency/consulting firm background, and experience in designing omni-channel experiences
  • 3+ years of experience managing designers
  • Be able to show a portfolio demonstrating results, processes, best in class user experience and products
  • Self-starter with strong executive presence and a keen sense of ownership and commitment to work and passion for delivering results
  • Collaborative leadership and work style with the ability to effectively interact with and earn the trust of peers and senior management across the organisation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a business mindset, with the ability to manage relationships and convey solutions to senior business stakeholders, including the C-suite. Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Expert understanding of UI/UX design methodologies, design principles, trends and industry best practices in web/application development
  • Able to demonstrate critical thinking beyond business requests, show strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong conceptual visual perception, with a meticulous eye for detail and design aesthetic
  • Familiarity with working and contributing to and established design system
  • Be detail driven, and able to manage across multiple, time-sensitive projects at the same time without compromising the quality of work
  • Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite etc
  • Experience in project management and third-party vendor management
  • Great sense of ownership; take responsibility to assure quality by reviewing and evaluating team's work regularly.
