We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President General Insurance.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and provide excellent direct sales services to customers, engaging Commercial Banking Relationship Managers and other frontline partners. Convert these opportunities into real income at a high closing ratio with revenue targets being regularly achieved or exceeded
  • Manage the department’s key relationships by providing excellent after sales service and identifying untapped business opportunities, thereby growing or maximizing customers’ Investment and Insurance wallet share in accordance with customers’ requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service to the satisfaction of customers and to acquire, retain and strengthen customer relationships
  • Work with Commercials Banking Relationship Managers closely on a day to day basis to build trust and rapport.  Ensure Relationship Managers are aware of and comfortable in making business referrals to them and respond to their referrals and requests in a timely manner
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and process by evaluating results and competitive developments and to mentor less experienced team members to jointly achieve sales and targets as a team
  • Proactively drive overall business result of the entire Business Banking districts or Corporate Divisions assigned to the job holder. Be responsible to engage Commercials Banking Directors and Team Heads in the formulation and execution of business strategy and tactical program
  • To stand HSBC Value in all business engagements
  • To maintain the highest standard of integrity and ensure compliance with all internal and external rules, regulations and guidelines on all service and sales activities

Requirements​

  • Solid sales experience for General Insurance products
  • IIQE, paper 1, 2 & 3 to possess certain General Insurance qualification according to the regulatory requirement
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and communication skill
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage
