The company is rapidly expanding its cross-border and offshore investment / asset management business in Hong Kong with a focus on alternative assets. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary owns an asset management company regulated by Hong Kong SFC. This role is based in Hong Kong and reports to Managing Director, Head of Alternative Investment.
Job Description
Source, analyze and execute private investments across capital structure with a focus on a variety of China-related credit investment opportunities. Manage the investment underwriting and execution process including due diligence, financial modelling and returns analyses, design and negotiation of transaction structure, presentation of investment committee memoranda and negotiation of definitive credit documentation
Develop asset management products by capitalizing on the company’s industry knowledge, operating capabilities, and established assets in the key sectors the companies have been serving its clients for decades, and by branching out to research, develop and strengthen knowledge and network in those sectors that are appealing to potential investors. Search, identify and due diligence alternative assets, design and negotiate optimal transaction structure appropriate to the underlying assets and fund terms acceptable to target investors, liaise with business development team and operation team to ensure successful launch of new fund products.
Participate in the on-going, active monitoring of portfolio companies, including anticipating / documenting credit events and creatively identifying / executing value-added activities to support portfolio company needs

Required Qualification
A minimum of 7 (VP) / 10 (Director) years of relevant experience of cash flow lending / special opportunities investment, asset management, and/or in-house corporate development.
Demonstrable track record of leading deal execution, fund launching, and/or corporate transactions (acquisitions / disposals, JV/Partnership arrangements) by working closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Familiar with offshore and cross-border (especially from offshore to onshore) transaction structure and fund structure / terms.
Prior exposure to alternative energy sector is required. Corporate experience in the alternative sector is preferred but not required.
Ability to source and identify business opportunities from capital markets and intermediaries in Hong Kong, as well as directly from enterprises.
Ability to fit well into Chinese corporate culture, and to work under pressure independently and aggressively as a reliable team-player in a high-caliber team
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese ability (oral and written skills)
