The new position is also for an analyst who will be primarily focused on industry/supply chain research but we will expect, as the team gets bigger, that coverage of select China stocks will also happen. However, the main focus will not be ratings and estimates in China but rather on the industry drivers and trends that inform the stock ratings and estimates in the existing franchise. In that sense, this is more an industry research role than a stock-picking role, although it will involve company-level knowledge, contact and analysis.
