We Offer
Collateral Management is a key exposure management role that works with Credit Risk Management to protect the firm from the credit risk of our clients.
The role requires an individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to take responsibility of their collateral portfolio in a very demanding environment.
The global team controls over USD 100bn of collateral, so it is imperative that you are control focused and have strong attention to detail. This environment is also at the forefront of many regulatory imposed changes, so a dynamic individual with good analytical skills is also essential
In this role you can look forward to an in depth understanding of credit risk, opening opportunities within the wider Investment Bank. Including: Front Office; Product Control; Risk Management and Credit Control and some of the responsibilities are:
  • You will have to coordinate with Legal, Credit Risk Management and Front Office during negotiations and will have to respond to collateral calls with counterparties
  • You will book and coordinate collateral settlement and work to settle disputes
  • You will communicate trade and valuation corrections and ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Pay, collect and book interest on cash collateral
  • Performs monthly reconciliation on General Ledger accounts
  • You will be involved on STP improvements across product groups
  • Explore possibilities for continuous improvements of workflows front-to-back
  • Handle queries and requests from internal and external clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure communication flow within the team and timely escalation of issues and incidents
  • Ensure high quality checks and controls
  • Ensure that workflows and controls are up to date and well documented

You Offer
  • You hold a university qualification in business, finance, accounting or engineering
  • You overall know of banking products and processing areas
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • You are an organized and systematic individual who pays attention to details and accuracy
  • You are a self-starter and have the ability to rotate between different topic areas and tasks
  • You possess excellent PC skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and MSAccess
  • You possess a positive 'can do' attitude and a proven work ethic
  • Ability to exercise good judgement working in a highly pressurized and time sensitive environment.
  • IB Operations experience will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of collateral management
