Our client is a global holding company, which is situated in a prestigious location in the City Centre, is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team of up to 10 accountants. This is a really dynamic, multi-cultural environment and our client is looking for someone that can manage a team of committed individuals who share the company’s philosophy of collaboration and quality. This is a role for someone who is highly organized with strong attention to detail, who is equally comfortable being a strategic thinker as well as someone who enjoys a more hands-on approach.

To be successful in this role, you will have a senior accounting profile of at least 8 years relevant accounting experience, you will have had exposure to accounting over a variety of investments including real estate, infrastructure and private equity and have proven experience of building high performing and motivated teams.


In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of accountants responsible for the accounting and control of investments, including all reporting requirements, and maintaining the books for the holding company and its subsidiaries dealing in private equity, real estate and infrastructure investments
  • Using LUX GAAP and IFRS, prepare and/or review annual accounts for the varied investment structures
  • Prepare or review regulatory reporting requirements such as BCL reporting’s, liaising with various authorities
  • Prepare or review VAT / CIT returns
  • Have a risk management mindset, reviewing & improving process and internal controls; ensuring policy and procedure for the department is up to date and adhered to
  • Involvement in credit risk and ratings review
  • Help with the financial analysis associated to any relevant transactions;  e.g. restructurings, sales and acquisitions
  • Prepare reporting packs for the Board

To be considered for this role, you will need the following attributes:

  • Have a minimum of 8 experience in a similar accounting role, with proven experience of managing teams
  • Excellent communications, able to speak fluent English, and enjoy an international environment, working at a high level, with a range of other professional disciplines
  • Possess excellent accounting skills, with experience working on real estate, private equity or other alternatives investments, a good knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP, with excellent Luxembourg specific knowledge around regulatory requirements
  • Have significant experience of corporate accounting systems such as BOB
  • Enjoy working in a diverse and dynamic environment.
