Role Overview:

The Senior Specialist Product Lifecycle, reporting into the Head of Product Lifecycle, is a key stakeholder for the Management Company to up skill the current department function and workforce with strong product expertise for Private Assets.

They will be responsible for supporting our strategic roadmap which centres around effective management, product expertise and excellence and coordination of new pipeline activity managing launching funds in the Private Equity, Alternative Credit and Real Estate. A key element of the role will be leveraging from other parts of the Schroders group and external providers in support of the Schroders Global Strategy.

The successful candidate will bring extensive knowledge of Private Asset product lifecycle events and has a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing fund events in this asset class. They will demonstrate excellent communication and management skills in order to convey and deliver in line with the Schroders Global Strategy. This is an international role which requires engagement with Schroders staff throughout our network.

They will support building up a central product lifecycle function for SIM Europe covering private assets (Alternative Asset Classes). This includes the implementation of a consistent operating model and procedures framework for all relevant asset classes.

Key functions of the role

•Lead product initiatives across Private Assets for SIMEU from initiation to implementation (including impact analysis, legal document co-ordination, operating model, verifying structure, timetable, project plan)

•Extensive Private Asset background is essential to support the product lifecycle, from both legal and operational setup perspectives (e.g. pro-actively supporting the launch of new products, facilitate the discussions with Products, Distribution and Operations)

•Provide pro-active advice to peers and stakeholders on product options covering Luxembourg funds such as developing a view on launching in regulated or non-regulated vehicles. And show thought leadership to bring new product proposals across the line by closely collaborating with key stakeholders (e.g. Portfolio Management, Distribution and Product Functions within the group)

•Bring together project teams and participate in projects which involve a broad range of providers and stakeholders at all level of seniority. It involves actively managing and aligning the interests of those stakeholders in a collaborative manner

•Analyse product proposals in terms of operational feasibility, advise on alternative options and identify potential pain points and constraints and plan product roll-out and implementation

•Coordinating and leading project teams for operational readiness (e.g. the (sub)team in charge to co-ordinate required updates of offering documents/PPMs, drive process locally.) Review fund and fund-related documentation (e.g. KIID or PRIPS, management regulations, articles of incorporation, etc.), to ensure consistency and advise on updates

•Review shareholder communications and manage the review cycle locally (timeline, sign-off, translations, despatch)

•Participation in projects within Luxembourg or Group
