Job Purpose
Assist Head, Project Management Office to ensure the various projects and Technology enhancements are effectively managed, in particular, timely delivery, within budget and scope.
  1. Implement effective project management methodology: requirement gathering, testing and implementation, in an operational and business context.
  2. Ensure project/enhancement request are well thought out and documented; and testing of enhancements related to these systems are robust.
  3. Influence the development of systems features which are forward looking, risk based and customer focused.
  4. Drive system enhancement for project/ enhancement/ product launch to ensure smooth implementation and no adverse impact to customer experience.
The Role Responsibilities


Operational:
  • Manage all Retail Banking related projects. Ensure all PSC and PWC are well run and effective.
  • Advise business on key system features and functionalities and proposed solution/ enhancement which improve overall customer experience.
  • Continually review, streamline and improve operational procedures and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Actively participate towards supporting the implementation of new and enhanced retail products and channel services.
  • Actively participate in requirement gathering, creation of test plan, perform testing and implementation, in an operational and business context.
Feasibility:
  • Review Business Requirement Document (BRD) to ensure requests are well thought out and documented.
  • Assist in the reviewing and facilitating of Biz investment document and process.
  • Assist and overseeing in the submission and approval process
  • Govern and direct the form of engagement with related to stakeholder, costing, risk and project management standards.
Project Planning:
  • Overseeing and monitoring on the progress of the delivery from the IT team.
  • Ensure all the process and documents align to the SCB project management standard.
  • Govern and independently review project structure and management process.
  • Independently review the project status and act as escalation point for issues management.
Project Implementation:
  • Review the Functional Specification to ensure it covered all business requirements.
  • Manage and report on the project status, cost , issue and risk.
  • Manage and report project dashboard and cost report.
  • Drive the implementation activities, process changes required to ensure smooth implementation and no adverse impact to customer experience.
  • Independently review the project status and act as escalation point for issues management.
  • Creation of UAT/UVT test plan and test cases, actively participate in UAT/UVT testing, manage UAT/UVT result and implementation, in an operational and business context.
Transition & Project Closure:
  • Provide independent review on the project deliverables.
  • Ensure all the required process, communications, procedures are in placed to support on the new solution deployed.
  • Participate in the post implementation review.
  • Project Financial & Management:
  • Track and monitor on the overall project financial.
  • Act as escalation point for any issues pertaining to the RC projects.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Extensive experience in project management, project planning and release management; testing management, business and functional requirement management.
  • Extensive experience in the area of Retail Banking, Business Transformation and System Integration.
Requirements for the employee:
  • Good educational background in the fields of Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Proven working experience as a project manager. PMP Certification is an advantage.
  • At least three years experience in the area of Retail Banking.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadline and complex integration.
  • Strong communication skill with business stakeholders and external vendors
  • Strong understanding of the digital and mobile market and of current and emerging technologies.
  • Previous experience of working in a product management digital role within a large organisation and of bringing payment propositions to market.
  • Experience of working with delivery teams, providing leadership, direction and support to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes.
  • Creative, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with testing in agile projects.
  • Experience with a testing tool and issue tracking system (JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Experience in all aspects of functional, integration and regression testing
