In order to sustain our growing business in our offices in the Netherlands, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Head of Compliance for 3 days per week, who will provide independent compliance support to enable sustainable growth of Link Asset Services “Banking & Credit Management” business in the Netherlands.

Banking and Credit Management (“BCM”) is part of Link Asset Services and provides loan origination and servicing, debt work-out, compliance and regulatory oversight.  In the Netherlands, BCM carries out loan servicing and origination support to lender and mortgage intermediaries.

 

 

Job Description

 

In order to sustain our growing business in our offices in the Netherlands, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Head of Compliance for 3 days per week, who will provide independent compliance support to enable sustainable growth of Link Asset Services “Banking & Credit Management” business in the Netherlands.

You will be required to provide accurate, timely and solution-orientated advice in a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment. 

You will be required to travel to other Link Asset Services’ offices from time to time in the Netherlands.

More precisely, the main responsibilities of the Head of Compliance will include the following:

  • Provide advice to the business as to the correct interpretation of policies and/or regulatory requirements (including any relevant changes) and assistance in how to implement them;
  • Implement Link Group and Link Asset Services’ compliance policies and any other local policies required to enable regulatory compliance;
  • Manage all correspondence, reporting and other contact with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and any other relevant Dutch regulatory authorities;
  • Identify upcoming changes to regulation that may impact the Companies;
  • Work with the business in planning for the changes required with new regulations and ensuring that necessary changes are properly embedded;
  • Delivery of Board approved risk-based monitoring plan;
  • Induction training for all new staff on compliance policies and Link's regulatory framework;
  • Maintain log of breaches including remedial actions, owners and due dates and track remedial actions to completion;
  • Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (or local equivalent) for the “Banking &Credit Management” Netherlands companies (if relevant);
  • Support the business to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection requirements;
  • Support the Link Asset Services Head of Compliance in the regular reporting of key issues for escalation to the Chief Risk Officer of Banking & Credit Management and to the Divisional Director of Compliance.

 

 

Qualifications

 

The position holder should possess the following key attributes:

  • Knowledge and experience of the practical application of the requirements of the AFM as they relate to loan servicers and the firms operating in the mortgage intermediary market;
  • A minimum of 8 years regulatory experience in the Financial Services industry in the Netherlands, with a preference for candidates who have worked for a mortgage lender or loan servicer and who have experience of handling compliance issues affecting mortgage intermediaries;
  • Detailed understanding of conduct risk and ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ requirements in the Dutch market including experience implementing the same in a regulated environment;
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable working at a senior level, engaging with, advising and influencing boards of directors and senior managers;
  • Able to balance multiple priorities and demonstrating good organisational skills are essential
  • Experience in a multi-client environment is preferable;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
