Data Scientist -Business Risk Analyst, Associate -2

Supporting business units across the corporation, the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division within SS Corporation establishes and maintains appropriate risk management policies, guidelines and limits, and assists executive and business level management with minimalizing operational, market, credit legal, regulatory and other risks to the company.

What you will be responsible for
As Data Scientist -Business Risk Analyst you will
  • Automate Credit Risk and Market Risk monitoring processes, working with risk officers, IT, and other project team members in several global sites to define process and technology targets
  • Develop risk insights using data and technology
  • Maintain developed solutions
  • Deliver various risk reporting activities per established procedures
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
  • Fluency in English;
  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology or Business related degree;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: finance or information technology;
  • Some experience in data analytics programming languages such as Python (i.e. pandas/NumPy/SciPy libraries) and SQL required
  • Some experience working with Tableau or SpotFire or PowerBI required
  • General acumen of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning concepts
  • Market Risk and/or Credit Risk experience a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly on new product lines and technology platforms
  • Front-office mentality and culture;
  • Continuous improvement as a DNA
  • Curiosity and appetite to uncover unknown and strong desire learn and grow in the field or data science
  • Demonstrated high energy and strong motivation to add value to the organization
  • Ability to work in a team towards common goal
