We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, High Net Worth Underwriting.

Principal responsibilities

  • To implement HSBC underwriting Policy and Principle within the High Net Worth unit of HSBC and ensure that business is accepted on a sound and lasting profitable basis.
  • To ensure prudent risk selection and ensure excellent service to all identified intermediaries
  • Proactively monitor underwriting rules, guidelines and philosophy as to its continuing market competitiveness, its effectiveness and in relation to emerging or changing medical and insurance risk principles and practice and put forward as appropriate recommendations and alternative best practice strategies

  • Sound technical medical and financial underwriting knowledge
  • Knowledge of the market place where the business exist
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Degree holder with considerable experience in the financial industry
